Much Ado about Nothing

Sometimes I get, what I perceive to be, a great idea for my blog. I can't wait to get to the computer and write it down. Inevitably, when I have finished it, I read it back and think, why did I bother? I haven't written anything for a while and wondered if I had run out of ideas. I also wondered if I had ever really had any decent ideas in the first place. Whilst contemplating this great mystery I had a great idea. Why don't I write a blog about nothing? I could sit down at the computer and type out a few random thoughts, totally unconnected to each other, and pass it off as clever writing. By the time any reader realised that the blog was about absolutely nothing and was, in effect a fraud, it would be too late and they would have been conned into reading it to the bitter end. I'm glad you stuck with it. Mercifully it is short and no-one was hurt during its composition. Thank you for staying with it and may your God go with you.

This Years egg hunt Rhyme

Another year
Another Rhyme
Bet you can’t find all the eggs this time.

The first batch is laid
Hmm Funny Smells
Perhaps a nest
Containing shells

Ahh you found them
That’s well done
Now we’ll start to have some fun

Some of these
Or some of those?
Where does Grandma
Wash her clothes?

This place is hot
It’s not the fire
But it makes
Our clothes much drier

Two places now
One plays a chord
Then you have to
Find the sword

A clever place
I surely chose
Where does Grandma
Hang her clothes?

You’re both so clever
You both are class
Now have a look
In a room of glass

For this batch now
To think you’ll need
A place where there is
Lots to read

Forget about cushions
Forget about chairs
Think more about
Just climbing stairs

For this turn
Inspiration flickers
Think of underwear and knickers

I hope you’re getting
All your wishes
Where does Grandma
Wash her dishes?

I hope these poems
Are not too old
Rescue these eggs
They’re very cold.

On to more
Another rhyme
Pick up eggs
And tell the time.

The final rhyme
It can be said
To look where one might
Rest ones head.
